Greenhouse Ship for Greening Coasts and Greening Deserts

We are proud to announce a new project and initiative for Greening Deserts projects like Greening Coasts and Greening Islands. The world’s first greenhouse ship, container ship and solar ship together in one big transport ship can deliver and transport greenhouses and equipment for professional gardening, greening, farming, forestation and other fields like solar applications or solar installations directly to areas where it’s needed. It’s a logistical and infrastructure innovation, because the ship can ship along the coastlines between the big habours of the world – you don’t must drive hundred or even thousands of kilometers from the habours to the destinations. With solar boats, drones, landing crafts and solar trucks the needed goods can delivered directly to the customers on the shortest ways, also deep into the continents. Boat landing stages are not necessary because landing crafts and small transport boats can ship directly to the coasts with fortified areas and roads nearby.

Sustainable shipping with greening ships and solar ships will change the world into a better, cleaner and greener place. Greenhouse Ships, container ships and Solar Ships could have mobile units or sections inside and outside. So you can move and exchange containers like in automated parking systems. This allows to load and unload the ship at any place of coastlines. Solar modules can be folded out and affixed with clever clip connections on the top or sides of the containers and on other free places or surfaces. A mobile floating solar field can be spread out on the water to charge the solar accumulators. Desalination of sea water is no longer a problem these days, so the greenhouse section (fixed or mobile greenhouse containers) will have fresh water and service water.

World Water Day and Water Quality in Germany

Today is World Water Day! More than 1 billion people around the world have no access to safe water. Over 2 million people die each year because of unsafe water. Care about and don’t waste water. Never forget clean air, food and water are Human Rights, as well as a healthy environment. #WorldWaterDay

Greening Deserts are economical, educational, cultural, social, scientific and sustainable projects to reduce desertification and global warming. We will use filtered ocean, sea, lake or river water for sustainable irrigation and water sharing systems overground and underground. Greening Deserts projects will produce different kinds of water like process water, drinking water and fresh water.

Greening Deserts projects want to develop, reseach and work on better water processing and water management methods. We will use advanced aquaponics and hydropnics techniques. After some applications for fundings or financial support and after informing responsible German institutions like Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU) we still havn’t got any support – just excuses and promises. The ignorance of the responsibles in Germany is unacceptable. Since autumn last year we informed most of the German parties and responsible authorities, institutions and organisations that we need help and financial support. In some cases we waited over an month, got no answer or just automated e-mail answering, although we informed them many times by email and got receipts – so we know that the most got the information and requests.

The ecological status of German waters is 70 percent bad, 65 percent of the wetland habitats are in acute danger, reports the Global Nature Fund. The foundation also gives a bad prognosis for the future. Greening Camps and Research Projects for Surface Mining Deserts – Concept and Study for Opencast Mine and Post-Mining Landscapes

Excerpt of the Business Plan and Master Plan 2 in german language: Greening and Research Camps for Surface Mining Deserts: Concept and Study on Sustainable Greening Methods, Greenhouse Management, Forestry, Agriculture and Culture Industry for Surface Mining and Post-Mining Landscapes. – This is a pre-release published on 31 October 2017, Reformation Day in Germany.

Desert research, research and development of sustainable greening methods, greenhouse management, forestry, agriculture and cultural industries are the primary fields of the concept and greening deserts projects. The greening and research camp with a greenhouse, office or laboratory containers or tents for the research and development of greening and irrigation methods is the primary objective for open pit mines. Secondary objectives, such as sustainable recreational use and tourism offers, can be realized during the operation over the years and are not necessary for the successful start of the research project and base camp in the opencast mining area or a post-mining landscape. This also eliminates all associated conditions, provisions and legal regulations, since for the time being no public recreational use or tourism operation takes place. Nevertheless, forward-looking considerations and planning approaches as well as extensive points on the areas or topics were worked out and summarized in this concept. Greening Deserts projects are always planned as long-term and sustainable as possible.

Further tasks and goals of the projects are the education, research and realization of a sustainable greening, management and cultivation of all kinds of poor, barren and dry areas, landscapes (drylands) or regions. That’s why the main project u.a. Greening Deserts, which treats not only typical deserts but all types of deserts, including open-pit deserts, concrete or urban deserts. This can all be done with suitable greening and research camps, wards and centers. In this work and in the concept possibilities and ways of doing so are analyzed and discussed on the example of research and greening camps for opencast deserts, mining landscapes or post-mining landscape landscapes. The research camp should be an encounter, education and communication platform in post-mining landscapes, internally for experts, experts and scientists, and in future also publicly for all possible visitors.

For a start, the greening, nature and research projects focus on nature experiences, important experience and research in the particular area or terrain. Everything is analyzed, documented and informed about interesting findings and developments. In the course of the project, interested and competent bodies or persons will be communicated – via existing and new networks, and then on site as well. In addition to well-known environmental education instruments and programs, the active experience of nature and creative forms of exploration and experimentation should also be researched and developed. Extensive research results, discoveries, developments and experiences in all mentioned areas of projects can be exchanged and compared with international institutions and scientific institutions. Most of the information and results are publicly or online available and will be published according to their level of development or needs. This will further enhance development and processes and can really help problem areas and poor countries (Third World / Emerging Countries). The research results, experiences and insights form a cornerstone for space gardening or space research in relation to professional greenhouse management, even for desert planets such as Mars. Also interesting would be a Mars Research Station for surface mining or post-mining landscapes. For this reason, with sufficient financial support or funding, further developments and research should be carried out, such as hydroponics, such as aquaponics or hydroponics, solar greenhouses and special biospheres.

During the first years additional places, paths and paths for recreational activities or recreational activities such as hiking and cycling can be planned and set up. For this purpose, with sufficient resources extra vantage points, experience rooms, rest areas, shelters, actuation and art objects can be realized. Further Goals and Ideas for the Effective, Sustainable and Fast Cultivation of Surface Mining Landscapes

In this article, further approaches and ideas for naturalization, rehabilitation, cultivation and recultivation will be presented in relation to all responsible persons and within the scope of the greening and research projects for surface mining or post-mining landscapes.

An important goal for opencast mine and post-mining landscapes or lakelands is the production of a balanced, stable and clean water balance as well as a good soil quality. The following points must be observed:

  • Balancing the nutrient and pollutant content through filter systems and regulating the oxygen content by means of ventilation and circulation. This can also be achieved by integration into irrigation systems on land and with suitable plants, water plants and microorganisms

  • Promotion of the settlement of endangered animal and plant species by the establishment, extension and maintenance of free, undeveloped nature reserves
  • Research on improved methods of colonization and propagation of endangered species, the creation of suitable habitats and zoological gardens or parks
  • Counteracting or reducing the entrophy and acidification of lakes and groundwater
  • Monitoring of soils and water bodies using appropriate instruments
  • Long-term planning and annual adjustment of the design concept as well as the renovation plans
  • Subsequent integration of visitors from all areas into the entire process, providing exploratory tours and hands-on workshops in the research camp and secured terrain
  • Shore and embankment protection as well as appropriate coastal greening should be preferred to pure gravel or sandy beaches
  • Lectures, photo and film shows, information and teaching events

Responsible organizations, institutions and persons must comply with the laws, regulations and guidelines, and must regularly prove this, if possible every year.

A good example of waterborne and aftercare is described in the “Sustainable recreational use and tourism in post-mining landscapes”. Here is an excerpt:

“Water maintenance is the task of preserving or restoring the functionality of the water bed including the shores to the top of the slope. This also includes the ecological and land-cultural function of water bodies, in particular

(1) the conservation and restoration of a native plant and animal population in natural diversity;

(2) the maintenance and improvement of the self-cleaning capacity, unless other are required to do so;

(3) the maintenance, cleansing and clearing of the waters and shores as far as is necessary;

(4) the keeping of the waters and its banks of pests;

5. the removal of solid substances from or from the waters of the waters, in so far as is necessary in the public interest. “

Documentations and information on the cultural, settlement, social and economic history of the region can be processed in various forms or varieties in the future, eg in tourist offers. Greenhouses, Gardening, Landscape Parks and Forests for Opencast Mining or Post-Mining Landscapes

The fields of horticulture, agriculture and forestry play a special role in the Greening Deserts research projects of the greening camps and research camps, so these areas are not only researched and developed but also documented and mediated. On the basis of practical and theoretical work and examples, old and new possibilities for opencast mining and post-mining landscapes are presented, improved and further developed. The first set-up of the greening campaign in the opencast mine area of Leipzig (opencast mining desert), is to create a multi-layered garden and park with test fields for regional, domestic and country-specific plant species and special species from all over the world. This also results in further possibilities for future landscape design, such as, for example, experimental gardening, gardening, creative and artistic design of green areas and landscape parks.

Greening Camps for Opencast Mining Landscapes Like in Leipzig Region Germany

Today we want to write about a special Greening Deserts project we started for opencast mining landscapes. Since years we think about greening camps and professional greenhouses for dry and barren landscapes like in opencast mines. We started to work on or planning an extra research camp at the opencast mine and new lakeland nearby Leipzig, Markkleeberg and Zwenkau. We informed all responsible institutions, regional, national and Europe-wide – so far and good we could with our projects.

Opportunities, innovations and  positive developments of Greening Deserts projects are proved and documented. It is very important and urgent that the projects get all help or support so fast as possible to reduce negative Climate Change, Desertification and Global Warming by professional greening and forestation. The projects are not just for climate protection, they are also good for educational, cultural, social and scientific purposes. With the right financial support we can finaly build up the company or project structure, build a team and the first greening camp. Calling now again for international help.

Welcome to the official pages for Greening Deserts projects in arid or dry, hot or cold regions. We offer professional greening services and solutions for coastal, subtropical, cold and semi-arid areas nearby water sources like lakes, rivers, seas or oceans!

This example video shows what today is possible with professional greenhouses and greening or gardening techniques like Hydroponics. We always prefer Permaculture, also without extra irrigation, but this depends on the plants and environment conditions.

Greening Deserts is a cultural, educational, economic, social, scientific and sustainable agriculture project using classical greening or gardening methods but also new and alternative techniques.

Greening of deserts, dry areas or barren lands with sustainable irrigation and renewable energy. Using filtered ocean or sea water, sharing systems overground and underground. Special desert plants can produce fast topsoil and create partwise shadows for plants around. With the right (financial) support we can start everywhere topsoil is needed. Together with the people of each region we also can create parks, woods and forests, especially in dry countries like Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Spain, Lebanon, Syria, Saudia Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Iran, Pakistan, India, China, Australia, etc. At the moment we concentrate on North Africa.

To accelerate the process professional greenhouses will be installed and newest sustainable cultivation techniques like aquaponics or hydroponics will be used. The project starts primarily near coasts with building Greening Camps and Desert Research Camps, a kind of farm with greenhouses and containers, tents or huts.

Benefits of clean technologies like irrigation with natural water sources (seas and oceans) and renewable energy supply with solar and water energy. The sea water will be pumped into over- and underground reservoirs at the camp. After that we can produce different kind of water, mineralised drink water, use, service or process water.

To produce topsoil we use best of soil producer plants, growing fast and producing a high amount of biomass. These special plants can also be used as organic fertilizer. More topsoil can be produced with recycling biowaste from cities or urban areas, a kind of biomass management together with the region.

We want to cultivate also food, herbs and medicinal plants are or were typical for each country or region we start, especially ancient plants were important in old times but today’s society has forgotten.

Greening Deserts projects are also good for refugee camps. Refugees can be integrated into the greening process, building greenhouses for food, medicine and forestation of parks and woods. They could create their own healthy environment and supply. We wrote detailed articles about this theme.

Building a basic camp with a little team needs approx three to nine months, depends on the conditions and region. Greening and forestation of each concerned region starts from the very beginning, so like planting trees for the first parks. Bigger camps can get an Energy Storage Park with a solar park, water park and or wind park. Smaller camps will have of course solar energy and water supply, too. There are many developments and other projects connected, most of them will be realised with the camps. It is also interesting for urban areas, city forests and gardens – especially community and rooftop gardens. Many scientists confirming Greening Deserts concepts and projects, for example to plant a trillion trees to reduce human-made climate change effects and global warming worldwide. With financial support the projects like the Greening and Research Camps could finally start with forestation and greening, especially of drylands or wastelands in Africa and Europe. The Greening Camp project development is running since 2018, after successful funding in 2019 or 2020 the project can start fast as possible and build the first pilot camps.

It’s about Greening Camps, innovative developments, research, global goals and effective solutions. Greening Deserts projects like the greening and research camps will be platforms for Cleantech, climate protection, nature conservation, culture, education, environmental and species protection, Greentech and science. All camps can have a library, lounge and media room. Perfect to exchange with education, book and media branch, to experiment with creative designs, green building and sustainable architecture. Bigger camps can get an Energy Storage Park and even could be expanded to a kind of campus or science park.

We have not much time to establish hundreds of camps, greenhouses and new special areas, on land and at sea, for the most endangered species and keystone species of this world. It is similar as with other cascade effects like the permafrost and wetlands problem. If more keystone species like the bees extinct, even relative unknown or small ones, it will accelerate the mass extinction and reach ‘tipping points’ in relation to the critical biodiversity loss is ongoing. The only way is to focus on this most important issue of the world and put it on the first place of all agendas, concentrate on the most endangered known species and find the forgotten and unknown keystone species with best of search algorithms, networks and intelligent systems like AI, Deep Learning, cloud and crowdworking, archive management and intelligent library systems – powered by best of computing environments, so like special supercomputers. It has really more priority as using so much computing resources for astrological calculations, brain simulations or other mega applications which doing all the same or nearly simliar kind of tasks or work. Not to mention all the energy wasting computers, servers and smartphones in idle mode or used for time wasting tasks like certain films, series or war games.

It is important for us all to prevent the mass extinction in the next years, to restore and improve biodiversity in so many areas, also in urban areas. We all need to care more the species who are endangered or treatended the most! It makes no sense if there are so many conservation and species protection initiatives or programs for a single species like elephants, pandas,.. in background much more important species dying out. The species protection community and organisations like IUCN Red List of Threatened Species should overwork their agenda and priorities in this relation. Humanity must protect more the keystone species, particularly on which many other life forms depend on! For example if the most important species bees extinct, humans will extinct some years later. Another point is to support the climate adaption of animals and plants on the long term, help the species to survive by providing extra wildlife habitats like more biotopes, game reserves, meadows, parks and diverse forests for more biodiversity.

Every day counts to protect the most endangered species with all means and to bring this aspect, this task and the topic to the top on all relevant agendas – on all possible channels, daily and internationally. Of course, corresponding protected areas with the highest concentrations of life forms in all possible regions and climate zones also have priority. The ‘overprotected’ species and programs, resources, energies, .. in this context.. they should also concentrate more on these aspects, because to protect so much elephants, polar bears, giraffes, pandas, etc. who are relative save and every day important key species dying out ! It is a similar problem as with the neglected tipping points and the wrong prioritization of politics and economy – see United Nations Climate Change Conference. Only if the problems mentioned are resolved promptly the cascade effects can be reduced and possibly over decades of massive efforts stopped, and new disasters in this regard prevented. Then there may be a real chance to prevent extinction, also of humanity. Every action and every person counts in this regard, whether large or small, known or unknown. We maybe have approx two years to solve these problems and ten years to plant a trillion trees worldwide.

Bees have been declared as the most important species on planet earth. However, according to wildlife experts and scientists, the bees have joined the endangered species long list. Insecticides, herbicides, fungicides and other pesticides must be reduced, so like the air pollution. Let’s plant more wild flowers and flower trees, especially for the bees, birds and other animals who need trees to survive. We need more biotopes, real natural and wild habitats or wildlife reserves with wild meadows, mixed forests and protected areas like game reserves, landscape conservation, nature conservation and water conservation areas. Greening Deserts projects goals are mainly to restore natural landscapes like mixed forests, grasslands and wetlands – to bring back biodiversity, clean air, topsoils and water. Reduce and stop deforestation in near future, replace wood with other sustainable materials like hemp and rice straw.

The Greening Camp plants like desert bamboo and hemp will improve the soils, underground water and waters in general. Drylands and wastelands can be turned into fertile lands easily with Greening Deserts technics and technologies were developed during the last three years. It improves the soils in just a few years, after this other soil improving plants, environmental friendly crops and trees can be planted. There will be many side products of the forestation or greening processes, it can be delivered to hemp product producers like the paper branch and packaging industry. All would win at the end – the poor people or regions, the degraded lands or soils, the forestry, paper and wood industry – even big wood paper consumers like the book, newspaper and packaging industry. Awareness programmes, communications letters and statements were initiated and shared with thousands of worldwide governments, institutions and organisations in summer, autumn and winter 2019. Clean air, soils, waters and healthy environments are Human Rights, too. We need more environmental awareness and sustainability, sustainable living and sustainable working, in all fields or areas. We need to create a world of understanding, acceptance, respect, tolerance, compassion and consciousness.

Do more for green places in your city, try to establish more community gardens, city parks, city forests, urban farming areas, fascade and rooftop gardens. Show that you can live and work really sustainable by saving energy, water and other natural resources. Reduce waste and pollution, especially plastic waste. Greening Coasts a New Green Project

Greening Deserts projects are concentrated on dry areas or regions at lakes, seas, rivers and oceans. That’s why we founded the subproject Greening Coasts.

Another good news, we got some concrete offers (land and basic resources) from Egypt and Libya. But of course we still need financial support for the first camps (equipment and other basic requirements) until we earn the first money of events, harvests, etc. Help us to start and to realise the first camps in the next years.

Go green, it’s never enough to do something good. There can’t be enough greening projects!
