Climate Change Cleantech and Sustainable Energy

Climate Change, CleanTech and Sustainable Energy are important themes, also on the International Day of Peace. Important are also themes like Human Rights, Education and Sustainable Living. Let’s celebrate together and imagine a peaceful world without wars, hate, ignorance and all the negative characteristics of humanity. http://peacealliance.org/tools-education/peace-inspirational-quotes

Where ignorance is our master, there is no possibility of real peace.
We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves. – Dalai Lama
Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that. – Martin Luther King Jr.
Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures. – John F. Kennedy
The day the power of love overrules the love of power, the world will know peace. – Mahatma Gandhi
Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding. – Albert Einstein

Some plants like bamboo have a very strong and positive effect on the environment and life forms. Maybe think about bamboo as a symbolic plant for peace projects, organisations or events?

Enjoy your day, do not forget the Human Rights Day on 10 December. Peace out ! Your Greening Deserts Crowd.

Greening Deserts Crowdfunding Campaign on Kickstarter is Live!

The Crowdfunding Campaign on Kickstarter is live! http://kck.st/2bSEhnV
Now you can support the project financially. But of course any other kinds of support like advises, recommendations or suggestions are welcome! Invite and share it with your friends, it’s all in good cause.

Great news, we got requests from some countries like Egypt, Tunisia, India, Pakistan and China for the Greening Deserts projects. We hope to get some support (land, materials, etc.) from each nation where we will start, so we could realise the first camps very fast and effective over the next years. The first desert plants and bamboo parks or little woods could stand in up to five years. If we do not get support from the governments or communities mentioned above we can lease land or start in Spain where we have a lot of good contacts and friends. You have ideas in which areas or countries the project could fit, too? Write a PM or comment below.

Big thanks to the first supporters who spend some money! The first 50 backers who spend 25 or more will get an extra surprise for their package, just a hint it has something to do with backpacks.

More details:
Greening Deserts is a sustainable project to green or cultivate dry areas, especially with special desert plants like Desert Bamboo. The project was developed over many years, the founder and initiator Oliver Caplikas started the first official pages in early summer 2016.

The project starts primarily near coasts with building greening camps, a kind of farm with greenhouses and containers, tents or huts. Using clean technologies like irrigation with natural water sources and renewable energy supply.

Greening Desert Camps could cultivate also food, herbs and medicinal plants are or were typical for each country or region the project starts, especially ancient plants were important in old times but today’s society has forgotten. The best plants for topsoil production can support to produce fast topsoil layers and spend shadows for other plants around.

Another main future goals are to build a water network for dry areas, to reclaim good land, save the environment by making it greener, improve the oxygen levels on earth and reduce the hunger crisis spread across various countries in the world. With your help we can restrict desertification and promote forestation. Please support our crowdfunding campaigns like on Kickstarter and/or Startnext!

With real (financial) support we could start everywhere it’s possible to get topsoil, especially in dry countries like Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Spain,..

Of course we will promote this event in our home country and cities like Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, etc.

Thank you! Wish you all a great time!

Merci bien.

Greening Deserts Camel Support Video

Show some love for Greening Deserts Camel

A camel in distress isn’t a shy creature. It doesn’t hang around in bars, nursing a solitary drink. It doesn’t phone up old friends and sob at them. It doesn’t mope, or write long soulful poems about Life and how dreadful it is when seen from a bedsitter. It doesn’t know what angst is.- Terry Pratchett
Camels can go many weeks without drinking anything at all. The notion that they cache water in their humps is pure myth—their humps are made of fat, and water is stored in their body tissues. While other mammals draw water from bloodstreams when faced with dehydration, leading to death by volume shock, camels tap the water in their tissues, keeping their blood volume stable. Though this reduces the camel’s bulk, they can lose up to a third of their body weight with no ill effects, which they can replace astonishingly quickly, as they are able to drink up to forty gallons in a single watering. – Michael Benanav
